Rev. Fr. Cherian. P. Varghese was born as the son of Late Mr. Geevarghese and Late Mrs Mariamma, Parayanavattom, Thirumoolapuram, Thiruvalla in 1955. After his graduation he joined vaidika seminary and on May 25th 1981 he was ordained as priest by His Grace Geevarghese Mar Osthathios. He got married in 1980 and his wife is Mrs Annamma Cherian. He has got three children, Varghese P Cherian (M.A), Leena M Cherian (B.ed) and Biju P Cherian (B.com).

Due to his social vision and meritorious services he has become a very prominent figure in the church community. He is currently leading the renovation works undertaken in the church. He is also and active participant and motivator to all the spiritual organizations within the church.
